The collection of these books started in the year 1998. Until then these funds were allotted to build a temple for a goddess.

Subsequently, a trust named Jagdamba Seva Committee owned by Sant Harivansh Singh Nirmal thought of investing this huge amount in building these vast chambers of knowledge. He himself stayed in a room for years and read almost all the books available in this library.

Once you enter the space you won’t be able to control your overwhelm and excitement to explore each and every aisle. The wooden frames holding a plethora of books are embedded in the walls throughout the corridors and have an appealing charm.

The pastel shades on the wall make it look even more peaceful and worth visiting for people who are not really into books.

However, the books are mostly in Hindi pertaining to archaic Indian texts, epics, and scriptures. It has a marvelous collection of Atlas and dictionaries in various languages though.

Each aisle ends with a mirror. Needless to say; the mirrors are almost like gateways to lands far away and unknown. They shine to reflect the adventure which awaits you between the covers of the books strewn all around the library.
